In 2024, RKB carried out a commercial and technical visit to a palm oil extraction company in Honduras to evaluate bearing opportunities in its production equipment.

Through follow-up with the customer and RKB distributor BALINERAS Y RETENEDORES S.A. de C.V. (BALRESA), RKB identified an opportunity to replace bearings from another premium manufacturer installed in a BUN LEE BL20 kernel press.

The application operates under continuous duty with high loads, high temperatures, and high levels of contamination. The selected RKB solution included:

• Spherical roller bearing installed in the back block on the coupling side.
• Spherical roller bearing for radial load support.
• Thrust bearing for axial load support.

RKB provided technical support including measurements, fit verification, mounting procedures, and lubrication recommendations. Engineering Manager José Félix Barrios
