RKB has secured a multi-year contract to supply bearings for the hoisting winches used to operate sluice gates at hydroelectric facilities in France.

The bearings will be installed in winch systems used to operate sluice gates, a critical application requiring components capable of withstanding high radial and axial loads in humid operating environments. The reliability of these systems is essential to maintaining safe operation and uninterrupted renewable energy production.

RKB’s Technical Team Unit (TTU), represented by Eng. Daniele Lauria, worked closely with the customer on bearing life calculations, lubrication selection for the application, and recommendations regarding tolerances and assembly methods.
