Advanced CMM measuring course at RKB Metrological Laboratory 🇨🇭

To enhance the quality control of RKB bearings and reduce measurement time, an advanced measurement course on the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) COORD3 Universal 20.15.10 was conducted at RKB’s Metrological Laboratory with the participation of engineers Ciprian Radu, Dragos Poleuca, and Davide Praderio.

The training focused on updating the CMM measuring software, installing a larger rack, and developing new measuring tools to support the dimensional control of all bearing part configurations.

During the course, parametric programs were also developed for the control of specific bearing component parameters, including variation of bore and outer diameter in a single plane of the inner and outer rings (Vdsp, VDsp), mean bore and outer diameter variation (Vdmp, VDmp), wall thickness variation of inner and outer rings (Ki, Ke), and deviation of tapered slope 1:12 and 1:30 of the inner ring (DSL).
