A French electricity provider operating wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants requested technical support from RKB for the installation of spherical roller bearings with an adapter sleeve on the horizontal shaft of a Kaplan hydraulic turbine.

An HMV 3072 E hydraulic nut was used to carry out the installation.

The on-site session was marked by close collaboration and also served as a hands-on training opportunity for the customer’s personnel. RKB TTU demonstrated how to measure residual bearing clearance after installation and provided guidance on optimal lubrication practices to ensure reliable operation.
